i currently have virgin cable tv and would like to access hd programmes without having to pay a subscription. i know i need a freesat hd box but where does the feed come from,do i need a dish or what.sorry if this is a bit vague but i am not altogether up with the laterest technology. my initial computer was a slide rule if any of you can remember them. Here's two links I think will give you all the information you require.

I have a "HUMAX" HD receiver - really good.
Worth checking this option as well.
Why not remove the single LNB from the Dish and fit a qaud LNB (4 outputs)

Then just buy the HUMAX HD receiver (HDMI cable included, required for High Definition).

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product...Yes you need a satelite dish, but you should be aware that Freesat only offers two HD channels at the moment, BBC HD and ITV HD.you need to buy a freesat box which will come with a dish FreeSat requires a Satellite dish. Some will run off old Sky Dishes, but their is a chance that you won't get all the channels.
It is possible to get a dish from somewhere like Lidl or Audi which you could install yourself, however you might want to pop to Currys where they will be able to sort out a box, dish and installer.you need a satalite dish. you can buy the complete kit for around £65.00. lidel sell them they are called camping satalite system where you get the dish, freesat box and cables and connector's.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
