How can I set up my own Alternative Spring Break?

  • The deadline for my schools Alternative Spring Break sign up has passed and I never got a chance to apply, but I still want to do volunteer work somewhere interesting this spring. How can I go about enrolling in a volunteer program without affiliation with my school? Some of my interests are animal rescue, disaster relief (like in New Orleans), and Habitat for Humanity.


  • Try looking in the blue pages under volunteering services. There should be a local center that will be more than happy to recommend some exciting ways for you to contribute to the community.
