HELP: XBOX to XBOX with xmbc without computer

    I'm at my father-in-law's and want to transfer files from 1 xbox (with xbmc) to another xbox with just a cable between them without a PC. Can I do it? He doesn't have a cable but I'll buy on if it can transfer the files with the filemanager


  • Thanks jmarshall. Realized this morning when I noticed no IP so I made one for both and BLAM it worked.

    So you needed a computer to make FTP between both XBoxes, ey?:stare: :D


  • Like I said no PC to use between just XBOX to XBOX


  • You have to configure network settings static using the same netmask.

  • turn on auto connect xbox and it should see the other xbox if you are using a crossover cable not a patch cable.


  • ok I bought a cable loaded up xbmc on both but can't connect between them.

    What step do I need to do to get it running

  • Ok I got the crossover cable had autoconnect on on both xboxs and then booted up both machines and ..... nothing.

    Now what?
