  • Hello,

    I was thinking about becoming a flight attendant and I'd start applying next year. However, in my country, all airlines won't take anyone with bad eyesight and I have about 7 dioptries (I'm wearing contact lenses, sometimes glasses).

    So do you know any airlines that's not that harsh with dioptries? Or can I forget about the job? =(

    Greetings

  • no, I'm so sorry for you, but it's not the airlines that are not accepting it, the main problem is that you will fail your mandatory medical exam and you will not be able to get your license from the FAA / CAA ... so there is nothing you can do to get this job...

  • Your eyesight MUST BE ABLE TO BE CORRECTED TO 20/20.

    When you apply for the position, the website will tell you their vision requirements. The FAA requires a correctable 20/20, but your airline may but an additional line in there saying they want normal 20/20.

  • i don't think they are harsh about the conditions of their employees eyes. don't worry about it.
    only pilots need like perfect vision

  • you're applying to become flight attendant not pilot.. supposedly, if you can corrected your eyes to 20/20 vision, they should give you consideration.. unless you're becoming pilot, yea, forget the job..

    why dont you try Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Emirates or Etihad?? at least these airlines accept foreigner to be their flight attendant..

    PEACE =D
