  • I've been getting Blu-Ray discs to play on my PS3 for about 3 months now. I watch them on a pretty new LCD flat screen TV and I think I have everything I'm supposed to, including the HDI cable, but I don't notice any real difference. Is there something I'm missing that I need to have for the enhanced picture quality, or is there really no big difference in the quality of DVD and Blu-Ray Disc?

  • Youâ ™ll get incredibly detailed images with brilliant Color in full High Definition 1080p resolution. It's the only media capable of delivering true 1080p performance on an HDTV set.

  • There's a pretty big difference between blu ray and dvd. Maybe your screens a little too small to truly take advantage of all that increased resolution. MAKE SURE...

    1. Your tv is High Def

    2. It is hooked up through high def cables. (eg.HDMI)

If not then that would explain why your blu ray looks similar to DVD

As for sound, if you don't have surround speakers then there's not much the blu ray disc can improve to your audio experience over DVD.

  • You should notice a difference. Its not going to be mind blowing spectacular but you should definately notice a difference.
